Alpinestars Tech-Air 10 Race System The Tech-Air 1- Race System from Alpinestars is a slim, self-contained wearable airbag vest that features 12 integrated sensors (3 accelerometers plus 1 gyroscope) to continuously monitor the riders position. The system utilizes an algorithm developed closely with MotoGP race data and data from over 2,000 lab-simulated crash scenarios determine when and how the system deploys. Wearing this airbag can decrease the impact of force up to 95 compared to passive impact protection. The maximum inflation time of up to 40 milliseconds (or less, depending on vest size) is quick enough to deploy the airbag before the riders first impact with an obstacle. The Tech-Air 10 Race System has a battery life good for 24 hours of riding time on a single charge, and an LED display system status directly on the belt. The system features Bluetooth connectivity to pair with the Tech-Air App, which uses the riders phone to display the systems operational status, battery status and provide detailed analysis of a ride. Over-the-air firmware updates are also handled through the app. Alpinestars includes a micro USB charger for quick recharging.
